By Kamy
By Kamy, in partnership with renowned artist Lelli de Orleans e Bragança, has brought her works to the textile world. Lelli, known for her exquisite ability to portray scenes from the Brazilian biome with perfection, meticulous care, and rich detail, has her paintings converted into embroidered tapestries. The scarlet ibises, with their intense red feathers, are the protagonists of this impressive tapestry, standing out against the lush mangrove backdrop, creating a striking contrast of colors and weaves. The mangrove ecosystem comes to life in this tapestry, with the embroidery weave and the handwork that highlight the twisted vegetation characteristic of this setting. This piece was created by the social project 1+1+by Kamy, where artisans from southern Minas Gerais, who previously worked in coffee harvesting, were trained by visual artist Elisa Lobo and became co-creators of these extraordinary pieces. The result is a tapestry that not only showcases the beauty of Brazilian flora and fauna but also conveys the story of these artisans' transformation. Only delicate, precise work with fine lines could deliver a result worthy of Lelli's incredible creations, which we are proud to present and offer for your decorDesign: Lelli de Orleans e Braganca
